Innovation for Safer Cities

We specialise in guiding complex innovation processes and implementing design thinking to address societal challenges. One of our key projects supports the G4 cities (Utrecht, Rotterdam, The Hague, Amsterdam) and the Ministry of Justice and Security in tackling critical urban security issues through innovation and AI-driven collaboration.

This project focuses on six high-priority urban security themes, including:

  • Explosions in urban areas caused by criminal activities.
  • Crowd management during major city events.
  • Early detection of multi-problem households to improve social stability.

Our role was to facilitate structured collaboration by leveraging design thinking methodologies to explore and refine innovative solutions.

The G4 project highlights our strengths in:

  • Facilitating cross-sector collaboration; Bridging gaps between various stakeholders
  • Strategic innovation management: Guiding complex projects from ideation to actionable outcomes.
  • Applying design thinking: Structuring processes to balance creativity and practicality, ensuring solutions are effective and impactful.

This project exemplifies how innovation and design thinking can deliver tangible solutions for complex urban challenges. By combining technology, policy, and collaboration, we help cities and governments proactively address security risks and enhance quality of life.
