Bioplastic Elegance
Kidman & Nicholson collaborated with designer Bibi-Anne Wits to create a series of exclusive bracelets that combine sustainable innovation and artistic design. Crafted from bioplastics derived from algae and manufactured using additive manufacturing (3D printing), these bracelets stand as a testament to the possibilities of sustainable design.
The bracelets were created as part of an initiative to investigate the potential of bioplastics in high-end design. Crafted from algae-based materials, these bracelets are not visually captivating but also biodegradable, ensuring a minimal environmental footprint. Each piece embodies a commitment to merging aesthetic beauty with ecological responsibility.
The bracelets were produced in small, exclusive batches using cutting-edge additive manufacturing techniques. This approach allowed for precise detailing and customization, ensuring each piece embodies both uniqueness and quality. 3D printing also minimized material waste, aligning with the project’s sustainable ethos.
Bibi-Anne Wits brought her distinctive artistic vision to the project, seamlessly blending organic forms with modern design principles. The result is a collection of wearable art pieces that not only make a statement in style but also in sustainability.
